About Barbara Matheson

I am a qualified and very experienced counsellor and supervisor, holding Postgraduate Diplomas in Counselling and Learning and Development, and Certificates in Stress Management and Creative Supervision.

A member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP), I work to the code of ethics set down by the BACP ethical framework.

My professional background includes senior management and staff development roles in the recruitment sector, with extensive experience of employability and other career issues, including workplace relationships difficulties and workplace bullying and stress.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked as a freelance learning and development consultant specialising in management development, personal development and as a licensed trainer for the award-winning Springboard Womens’ Development Programme.

I have extensive experience of working with a diverse client base, including university students at all stages of their academic careers, young professionals and seniors.
